Monochromatic means you use one color; you can use different tints/hues of the same color. Monochromatic outfits always look sharp no matter your size. It's a simpler, cleaner approach to dressing.
To begin, pick colors that flatter your skin tone. I've learned over the years that white, gray, and burgundy are great colors for me.
Walk into your closet, grab everything in that color and get to work! Don't shy away from different textures when putting your look together. Once you have the outfit, introduce a subtle color to accessorize. Whether it's jewelry, shoes, or a purse.
Below, I've featured some of my favorite monochromatic looks!
NUDE: Tried to keep this look as soft as possible, throwing on a textured neck scarf in the same hue for some dimension.
BLUE: All blue is the easiest monochromatic look. Who doesn't own a pair of blue denim jeans?
BURGUNDY: My favorite color by far is this burgundy ensemble. Tucked a long shirt into my wide leg pants and used different hues of the same color. Paired it with nude flats to keep this look soft.
GRAY: I'm currently obsessed with everything gray. This is a great monochromatic look for work, which is always an added bonus! Add a black satchel or cross-body to go with the shoes.
